Building the app and sourcing the content. Building an app requires a wide variety of different talents and expertise. We need to invest in that expertise in order to build Solace and make it an accurate, comprehensive, and accessible guide to transition. To get this information, we will need the time and resources to source and cite that information. 93% of your donation will go to development and content, 6% to hosting costs and a membership to a coworking space for the team.
We're starting with a launch in the USA, with a planned pilot program launching in Mexico this year. We will be working to roll Solace out to other countries as we bring in the resources and expertise to do so.
Solace was created by Robbi Katherine Anthony, Patrick McHugh, Juan Pablo Delgado, Ari Martinez, & Diego Hernandez at HackOut 2019. It is led by Robbi, a transwoman and software developer.
Solace is based in Spokane, Washington.
Everyone's transition is different, which is why with Solace you can select just the items that are relevant to your transition, and track your progress toward those specific goals.
Within each goal is credible, accurate information as to how to reach it. Once you've completed it, you can check it off your list and see your progress bar move forward.
Solace aggregates information that may be relevant to your transition, and also annotates those articles with information as to how the news may impact your life.
Add more goals to your transition by browsing the legal, medical, and lifestyle sections. There may be things you never knew about or never thought were possible that you can add to your goals.
