This policy explains how solace.lgbt handles personal information. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and we keep the information we hold to the minimum the site needs.
What we collect
We don’t ask you to create an account, and you can read every page without giving us your name. The information we receive falls into two groups:
- Technical data your browser sends, such as IP address, device type, browser version and the pages you visit.
- Anything you choose to send us by email, such as your name, address and the content of your message.
Cookies and analytics
solace.lgbt uses cookies to remember basic preferences and to count visits. Our analytics tool shows us which guides people read and how they reach them; we use the totals, not individual profiles. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
When you click a link to a casino, the casino or its affiliate network may set its own cookie to record that the visit came from us. Their privacy policies cover those cookies.
How we use information
We use technical data to keep the site running, fix errors and understand which pages help readers. We use emails only to reply to you. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for marketing.
Storage and security
Our hosting and analytics providers may store data on servers outside Australia. We pick providers that protect data to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we delete emails we no longer need.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
